Cheerleading Safety & Rules

~  Always stretch before each practice or competition. (Stretching will prevent injuries and help with flexibility)

~  Make sure your coach is aware of any medical conditions that your son or daughter may have. (This helps the coach know what to look for in case of an emergency or what expectations or goals a coach can have ahead of time for each squad member)

~  No talking when the coach is giving instructions or demonstrating.

~  No gum or candy is allowed during practices or performances.

~  Proper attire should be worn at all times. (no jeans)

~  No jewelry is allowed.

~  Tennis shoes and socks must be worn at all times.

~  Stunts can only be practiced when a coach is present. (no exceptions)

~  Arrive at practices or competitions early to use bathrooms and get water.

~  Wear proper safety equipment for weak ankles, knees, or wrists.

~  No running or horse playing during practices or competitions.
