FLUFFING INSTRUSTIONS:

DO NOT BE SURPRISED BY THE APPEARANCE OF THIS POM

The pom must be “fluffed” to achieve the proper look.

1.Shake your pom vigorously! This will help to separate the strands. DO NOT

FLUFF BY PUTTING STRANDS BETWEEN YOUR HANDS AND RUBBING

YOUR HANDS TOGETHER BACK AND FORTH! This tends to roll the plastic

into spikes.

2.For THIN strands, crush strands in bunches starting at the outside and working

towards the handle.  The more you squeeze and shake the pom, the larger and

fluffier it becomes.

3.For WIDE strands, using both hands, grab a few strands between thumb and  

fingers and separate strands. Then, gently pull the strands back and forth

near the center of the pom.  Shake and repeat until fluffy.

4.For METALLIC poms:  Metallic colors may fade when exposed to heat, rain or

extreme humidity. Care should be taken to keep your poms dry and away from

direct sunlight. Avoid storing in warm, enclosed areas, such as a locked car.

 

BATON HANDLES:  The caps are meant to slide in/out to adjust to hand size. To hold

the position of the caps, you may wrap the caps and handle with white athletic tape. This

can also help to absorb perspiration from your hands.
