Coach Alexus
I joined AIM in 2017 and previously coached for the Williamsburg program.
In school, I was very involved with theater and choir. I was in numerous performances -which included choreography and dance. I also have several years of ballet experience.
I chose AIM because my sisters started cheering for AIM and the choreography and cheering really sparked my interest. I helped them practice every night to help them perfect their cheers, chants and dances. I've watched the program help them really come out of their shell, and as a coach, I like to help others grow and become more confident.

Coach Amara
My name is Amara Bland-Haynes, and I coach the Williamsburg division of AIM Cheer.
I was born and raised in Williamsburg, Virginia, where I attend the College of William and Mary and major in neuroscience. For those of you from Williamsburg, I am also a Lafayette alum, so GO RAMS! I have been cheering my whole life. In high school I cheered on the sidelines and competitively and also was a captain my senior year. Fortunately, I continued cheering in college for football and both women’s and men’s basketball. I absolutely love the sport and everything it entails.
I am extremely excited to be teaching the next generation of cheerleaders all that I know. My one hope is to be as inspiring and supportive as all of my own coaches have been throughout the years!

Coach April
My name is April, and I'm from the Shenandoah Valley. I will be coaching in Midlothian, VA. I've been helping with AIM since 2020. I started out as a coach mom when my daughter began cheering, then I became a coach!
I cheered for the Bears in grade school for 5 years and was captain of the squad for 3 years. I enjoy cheerleading and helping the girls learn new cheers and routines as well as helping them to come out of there shell and gain confidence! Most of all I like to make cheering fun! I'm super excited to continue coaching, meet all of the new cheerleaders and inspire them!
I love that AIM offers a program for both for beginners & experienced cheerleaders, and I enjoy everything about AIM!

Coach Bridget
I was born and raised in Greenville, NC, home of the ECU Pirates. I did not begin my cheerleading career until 8th grade and was fortunate enough to continue on through high school and then in college on the East Carolina University All-Girl team. During college, I also had the privilege of coaching gymnastics, all-star cheer, and school choreography. Not only did I work as a coach, I also worked as an Emergency Medical Technician before graduating. In May of 2019, I graduated from my university with a psychology major, and biology minor with hopes to pursue a career in medicine.
Though I have retired from the sport of cheerleading, my passion for the sport continues to grow. I am excited to continue my coaching journey and most importantly get back into helping athletes reach their goals, both mentally and physically.

Coach Caitlynn
I’ve been passionate about cheerleading since I was ten years old, starting with all-star teams and moving through high school and college. My coaching experience spans gymnastics and cheer with a focus on fostering trust and teamwork.
I recently relocated from California to Charlottesville, and I’m excited to join AIM, a program that perfectly aligns with my commitment to uplifting and empowering youth. When I'm not cheering, I work at a coffee shop and run a small crochet business. I can’t wait to connect with everyone and make our cheerleading journey amazing!

I am from Surry County, VA, but coming from a small town, I often found myself traveling for cheer and dance since the age of 4. I attended Surry County High School and did sideline cheer throughout my 4 years there. I held the captain position for 2 of those years. After graduation, I attended Old Dominion University where I joined the stomp and shake cheer team, “The Blue Diamonds” for 2 seasons. While in Norfolk, I began coaching at Impact Nation in Chesapeake as the Cheer 101 coach. Currently I am the head coach at Charles City High School.
I am so excited to now be a part of the AIM USA team!

I began coaching with AIM in September 2023 at Spring Run Elementary previously after assisting Coach April in Midlothian in previous years.
I attended Virginia Commonwealth University and currently run a disease research lab at a local hospital.
The thing I love most about the AIM program is that it is beginner-based but still takes practices and events seriously. It is great to be part of such a fun loving association!

Coach Kilah
I first started cheering when I lived in Florida. At the age of 6, I cheered for the local YMCA. Later, I moved to Virginia at the age of 12, and cheered for my middle school my 8th grade year, and all four years of high school. I loved cheering so much that I decided I wanted to coach. I became a volunteer coach for the Providence Athletic Association, where I coached the minor and junior cheer squads for 6 years. In October of 2016, I became the Head cheer coach for Providence Middle School. Later that same year, I also volunteered as a tumbling instructor with Queen's Dance Academy.
I have such a strong passion for cheerleading! I enjoy using my knowledge to help children reach their goals. Seeing them develop their skills, build their confidence, and have fun is why I enjoy coaching so much. I'm so fortunate and excited to work with AIM!

Coach Kim
I grew up in a rural area in the western part of Virginia and started my cheerleading experience around age 7. I was a recreational league cheerleader up until high school. I then spent 4 years as a cheerleader in school there and was co-captain of the varsity squad my senior year. After graduating, I attended Roanoke College and was a cheerleader for 2 of my years there. Later I became an NBA-D League cheerleader for the Roanoke Dazzle and also spent a year coaching the Roanoke College squad.
In 2009, I moved to Hampton Roads, VA for work and even went back to school for my master's degree. I helped choreograph a competition routine for my niece's recreational cheer squad in Chesapeake. My niece was also an AIM cheerleader -which is how I found out about the organization.
I have been with AIM since 2012 and served as a coach in Hampton and (previously) Williamsburg. In 2015, I became the Director of Operations for the Tidewater region. In addition to coaching, I oversaw operations at all of our Hampton Roads cheer locations until 2023. While I've hung up my coaching hat, I still assist AIM with web design and offer help with competitions, etc. I think AIM is a wonderful program and a great way to help students build confidence and feel comfortable performing in front of groups.

I have over 11 years of cheerleading experience and 6 years of gymnastics/tumbling experience. I began cheerleading and gymnastics at a young age and continued through high school and college. During my college years at Liberty University (LU) I cheered for football, basketball and volleyball games. I also had the amazing opportunity to compete with my LU team for 3 years at the UCA College Nationals competition held in Orlando, FL! My stunt partner and I also competed in the Christian Cheerleaders of America (CCA) partner stunt cheer competition and received first place!
While pursuing my Master’s degree online, I had the opportunity to be an assistant coach for a high school varsity cheerleading team in Northern Virginia, where they competed and also cheered at football games.
As a coach, I love being able to lead, encourage and mentor my team! I was blessed with a wonderful coach in college who inspired me daily and became a mentor to me. I am excited for the opportunity to coach with AIM and I hope to use my experience and knowledge to help kids grow in their skills, confidence, and love for cheerleading!

Coach Natiyah
I’m thrilled to be an AIM coach. I was born in Washington, D.C., but Williamsburg, VA, has been home for most of my life. Cheerleading has been a huge part of my world for the past 19 years. I got my start with a local organization, and that passion carried me through all my school years. I cheered at Virginia Peninsula Community College, where I had the honor of serving as team captain for two years.
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching at Warhill High School and Yorktown Middle School, and I’ve even helped out with my college cheer team. What I love most about cheerleading is the incredible sisterhood it builds, and I’m excited to help create that bond with our teams. I chose AIM because I loved the message behind the organization and wanted to be a part of that. I’ll be coaching both the Williamsburg and Hampton teams, and I’m really looking forward to working with each and every one of you. Let’s make this an unforgettable season together!

I have been cheering and dancing for over 13 years for AIM, VAC, Golden Slippers, Gymstrada, and Green Run High School. I have been assistant coaching with Coach Brittany in Virginia Beach since the 2021-2022 season and am looking forward to leading the new Norfolk location.
In my spare time, I enjoy roller skating, piano, drawing and cheering from my home school, Green Run HS.
I love the work environment at AIM and being around children all day. I also love competitions, that's my favorite thing.
